Why Nehemiah 8:10 Matters

As I painted this piece, I reflected on how the people in Nehemiah’s time had their hearts softened by God’s word.

Even in the middle of sorrow, they were told not to mourn—but to go out, feast, and celebrate.

They were reminded to find joy in the Lord, and to share that joy with others.

Isn’t that such a beautiful invitation for us today, too?

Creative Prompt: Reflect + Respond

While you paint, pause to reflect: What brings you joy right now?

How have you seen God’s strength show up in your life lately?

Consider adding these reflections as handwritten notes alongside your art or in your journal.
