Sunshine Home Print
"Bless this home, may it be filled with love and light and may a sweetness flow throughout it every single day. May laughter be heard in the hallways and thanksgiving pour through the windows. And most of all, may it be a home God holds close to his heart."
Thought I'd give a little background to why I paint homes and why they mean so much to me.
For this print, I wanted to paint it with a wonky, imperfect-ness to it. Because the imperfect, wonky homes are the best kind of homes:)
And I love thinking about these Words from Jeremiah 30 ( the Message Bible)
They give me such great encouragement and hope!
"I'll turn around things for Jacob.
I'll compassionately come in and rebuild homes.
The town will be rebuilt on its old foundations....
thanksgiving will pour out the windows;
laughter will spill through the doors.
Things will get better and better."
Who wants more laughter in their home?
Who wants thanksgiving to pour out the windows?
We can ask God for these things.
And if you're struggling with family or relationships,
God is committed to us. He’s committed to our families.
He will do great things.
He will build and rebuild and He WILL work wonders.
He is the God of miracles!
God is continually in process to rebuild our lives just like a house is rebuilt.
And it takes time and gentleness (and yes, a sense of humor).
So thankful God says" I'll compassionately come in and rebuild." He won't come in with an iron fist. But he comes in with tenderness and compassion.
God continues His great design of beauty and love and hope ...
in the middle of the wonky of our own lives.
Wonky homes and wonky people...we may lean a little to one side, the floors may be uneven, there may be a need for fresh paint or new windows and there are probably some crumbs scattered around.
BUT... we can trust God to rebuild daily and to bring more laughter and thanksgiving into our lives and homes.
Here's to God's blessings over our homes.
And here's to God working so beautifully in all of the wonky!
